On behalf of the Hatikva Families staff, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support during our Hanukkah season outreach. Your partnership played a meaningful role in the success of one of the largest gift initiatives we have ever carried out.
Hanukkah Gift Distribution – Large-Scale Partnership Project
During Hanukkah, we carried out a large-scale gift distribution at the children’s village. Through this collaboration, 430 individual gifts were distributed—one for each child—ensuring that every boy and girl experienced joy and celebration during the holiday.
The village is a residential home for children at risk who have been removed from their homes by Welfare Services or the Courts. The children, ages 4–18, come from across Israel, and many remain with us for several years. They arrive having experienced severe trauma, including neglect, physical and sexual abuse, and extreme family circumstances such as parents incarcerated for violent crimes. Our mission is to provide each child with the life they deserve. Our dedicated staff works daily to offer love, hope, safety, and stability.
The village includes a wide range of essential services in one campus:
- Family homes for 145 boys and girls ages 6–18
- A special education school (1st–8th grade) serving 60 children
- A day care program for 75 boys and girls ages 5–13
- A children’s emergency center for 15 children ages 4–12
- A teenage girls’ crisis center for 15 girls ages 12–17
- 1 of 2An external crisis center supporting 100 at-risk families and 120 children
In addition, 18 large gift packages were prepared and delivered to residential homes and group settings throughout the institution. This was a complex project requiring significant coordination, logistics, and teamwork, and it created a broad and meaningful impact across the entire campus.
Through these gifting and volunteering initiatives, we reinforced a consistent message of care, dignity, and hope—demonstrating that community presence and generosity can have a profound emotional impact on children and youth facing vulnerability. We received many touching messages of gratitude and encouragement, which deeply moved our entire team.
Thank you once again for standing with us and with the children we serve. We truly value this partnership and look forward to working together again in 2026.
With sincere appreciation,
Hatikva Families Team, Evan Levine
